Join us any Sunday at Good Shepherd!
7:45 am - Traditional Worship
Our early worship service is rooted in our German Reformed heritage. It is a formal and traditional service that would feel familiar for Christians of a variety of denominations.
8:45 am - Fellowship Time
Join us in Zwingli Hall for a cup of coffee and a spread of snacks and baked goods. This is a great chance to meet members of our congregation in an informal setting!
9:00 am - Education Hour
From 9 am to 10 am we offer a variety of educational opportunities for children and teens -in addition we offer 4 different Sunday School classes for adults. If you'd like to know more about our Christian Education program click on "CHURCH LIFE" and select "EDUCATION"
10:20 am - Family Worship
Our later worship service is more informal and, though much of the liturgy and hymns are traditional, worship at 10:20 am is more creative and involves family and children in a myriad of ways. It's common for teens and youth to help lead worship, including our children and youth choirs and inter-generational orchestra. Nursery Care is provided for babies and toddlers during this worship service too. There is also a Children's Message, after which elementary school children are dismissed to Children's Church if they would prefer not to sit through the rest of worship. However children are always welcome to stay in church with their parents. Twice a year the kids and youth take over the entire service for the Christmas Pageant in December and Children & Youth Sunday in June.
A note about summer worship:
During the summer we condense Sunday mornings - instead of two services we combine and have one worship service at 9:00 am. This begins the third Sunday in June and ends the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. During this time adult Sunday School classes can choose to meet at 8:00 am before worship. During Summer Worship we provide Nursery Care for babies and toddlers. In addition all children and youth begin in worship and are dismissed to Summer Sunday School after the Children's Sermon - one class for children (6th Grade and Younger) and one class for youth (7th Grade and Older).
