Whose Kingdom Are You Building
What does it really mean to secure our future? In this opening message of the Add to Cart series, we are walked through a house with four rooms that reveal the condition of our hearts. Drawing from Matthew 6, we explore the timeless tension between earthly security and eternal investment. Jesus spoke directly to the anxieties of his listeners by pointing to the three places they stored their wealth. And his challenge cuts just as deep for us today, because while the names have changed, the vulnerability has not. Inflation, market crashes, layoffs, and identity theft are simply modern names for moth, rust, and thieves. The central spiritual lesson here is both sobering and liberating: everything we own is on temporary lease. But rather than leaving us empty-handed, Jesus points us toward a treasure that cannot be eroded, stolen, or lost. Every act of faithfulness, every prayer, every dollar given to spread the gospel, every life poured into another person, these are investments that no market can touch. The world celebrates what is impressive, but heaven remembers what is faithful. This message invites us to ask honestly: where are we really placing our hope?
