Do You Really Know Who You Are?

This message challenges us with a profound question that cuts to the heart of our faith: Do we truly know who we are as children of God? Drawing from 1 Corinthians and the story of Jesus's baptism in Luke 3-4, we're presented with a compelling fable about a princess who lived her entire life as a slave, never knowing her true royal identity. How often do we live the same way spiritually? We've been adopted into God's family, made joint heirs with Christ, yet we live as spiritual paupers, unaware of our inheritance. The message reveals two essential pillars that define our Christian identity: the indwelling Holy Spirit and deep knowledge of God's Word. Just as Jesus faced Satan in the wilderness armed with Scripture and empowered by the Spirit, we too have access to these same resources. The parallel is striking—Jesus didn't begin His ministry until He was baptized and filled with the Spirit. Similarly, our transformation from mere believers to true children of God requires both accepting Christ and recognizing the Spirit's presence within us. This isn't about rituals, buildings, or even good works—it's about Christ in us. The question remains: Will we continue living as spiritual orphans, or will we embrace our true identity and walk in the fullness of what God has prepared for those who love Him?
